Sai Htin Linn Htet, Myanmar Documentary Photographer

Sai Htin Linn Htet

Documentary Photographer & Peace Educator

Sai Htin Linn Htet is a Myanmar photographer based in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma). He was born back in 1991 in a chronic conflict region of Myanmar, Shan State. He formerly worked as an educator for over 3 years, providing Peace Education Courses to politicians, civil society organizations, activists and youths from all over the country with a desire to motivate people to become involved in the peacebuilding process across Myanmar.

After joining Advanced Documentary Photography Masterclass 2015 at InstitutFrançais de Birmanie, this sparked his passion for photography; creating stories about animal rights, disability rights and environmental pollution all through self-assigned projects. He won several awards at the Yangon Photo Festival, Yangon Art and Heritage Festival 2017 and the Fotomarathon.

His vision is to integrate his peacebuilding and photography expertise to support social justice and resolving ongoing multidimensional conflicts of Myanmar. He derives pleasure from exploring surrealism in everyday life and devotes most of his time to photography.
